Willis against former President Donald Trump and 18 others in relation to his efforts to overturn the Georgia results of the 2020 presidential election. Former President Trump and a suite of 18 co-conspirators were indicted by a Georgia grand jury Monday on charges tied to efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The charges follow a more than two-year investigation by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) into Trump’s efforts to pressure state officials to intervene to reverse his loss while also organizing a group of 16 Georgians to serve as fake electors and claim the former president had won the state. A St. Paul man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for crashing a stolen car into another car while fleeing police in Anoka County, killing his passenger and seriously injuring the other driver.Joseph Mario Cady, 42, received his sentence Friday in Anoka County District Court after pleading guilty to criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular operation in connection with the July 11, 2022, head-on crash in Linwood Township that killed Jessica Lynn Sellers, 30, of St. Paul.The 60-year-old driver of the car that Cady struck, Debra Lee Hirsch, was taken to the hospital in serious condition, with a broken foot and toe, cracked ribs, cuts and other trauma.
